Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at WCCCD is greatly skewed towards women students, with 66.5% of undergraduate students being women and 33.5% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 12,749, with 8,473 women and 4,276 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is African American, comprising 63.1% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 7,997 students.

Following behind are White students, constituting 16.4% of the student body, with 2,078 students. Mixed race students represent 7.9% of the population, with 1,002 students, while Hispanic students account for 2.0%, with 259 students. Asian students account for 1.0% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 123 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.1% , with 12 students.

International students make up 0.2% of the undergraduate population, totaling 24 students.

There is also a notable percentage of students with an unknown race, making up 9.3% of the population, totaling 1,179 students.
