Based on the 2021-2022 data, the undergraduate student population at ULV is largely skewed towards women students, with 60.3% of undergraduate students being women and 39.7% being men. The total number of full-time, first-year undergraduate students is 3,691, with 2,226 women and 1,465 men.
On the other hand, the graduate student population at ULV is greatly skewed towards women students, with 68.8% of undergraduate students being women and 31.2% being men. The total number of full-time, graduate students is 2,510, with 1,727 women and 783 men.

The largest ethnic group among the students is Hispanic, comprising 60.8% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 2,237 students.
Following behind are White students, constituting 17.5% of the student body, with 645 students. African American students represent 7.1% of the population, with 262 students, while Asian students account for 4.6%, with 169 students. Mixed race students account for 3.7% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 135 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.6% , with 22 students.
International students make up 3.1% of the undergraduate population, totaling 115 students.
