The largest ethnic group among the students is Hispanic, comprising 87.3% of the undergraduates population , with a total of 17,487 students.
Following behind are White students, constituting 4.6% of the student body, with 912 students. African American students represent 2.1% of the population, with 420 students, while Mixed race students account for 0.8%, with 159 students. Asian students account for 0.6% of the undergraduate student body, comprising 128 students. Finally, Hawaiian students have the smallest representation at 0.1% , with 29 students.
